Cola Killer

On February 25th 2010, Natasha Marie Harris, aged 30 and a mother of 8 from Invercargill in New Zealand passed away.  Prior to her death she had been vomiting up to six times a week which was later believed to have been caused by caffeine toxicity.  An autopsy indicated that she had a diseased liver but could not determine the cause of death.  It was believed she may have suffered from hypokalaemia, or low potassium which was caused by excessive drinking of coca cola which then led to a heart aneurysm.  According to her family she would drink around 18 pints of coca cola a day.  Her partner stated that she was addicted to the soft drink and that she would become moody if she didn’t have any.  He also told of her being ill for almost a year before she passed away but that they had assumed it was to do with the stress of having 8 children and gynaecological issues.  Mr Hodgkinson who admitted to purchasing four 2.5 litre bottles of coca cola on a daily basis for the family had no idea that too much cola was bad for you and assumed it was like drinking water.

In June 2011 Coca Cola confirmed that they had increased their security and had security staff shadowing their employees due to alleged death threats they had received from Mr Hodgkinson.  He denied that he had ever sent death threats but did admit to believing that Coca-Cola were responsible for his partners death.

A Stifle Python

Amber Arianto Mulyo, aged 59, was strangled to death by a python outside the luxury Hyatt hotel on the island resort of Bali in Indonesia.  It happened at around 3am in the morning on 25th December, 2013.  He was a security guard for a nearby restaurant and when he saw that the 15ft long snake was crossing a road near the hotel, he offered his assistance.  He managed to grip the snakes head as well as its tail.  Having a secure hold of the snake he placed it onto his shoulders, at that moment the situation turned grim as the snake wrapped itself around Mulyo’s body, squeezed tightly and suffocated him to death.  Once Mulyo was dead the snake unwrapped itself and slithered off into the nearby bushes.  Agung Bawa, the assistant security manager at the hotel stated, “It happened so fast.  We were sad because we could not do anything to help him.”  The police thoroughly searched the area but were unable to find the Python.
